Maize is his business. Pakah Samuel is not only a seed producer, but also a maize producer. He developed his interest in maize after taking part in a project funded by the American Cooperative NCRE (National Research Cereal Extensive) between 1990 and 1996. Let’s just say that it was this project that gave him the desire to go into farming altogether.
Since 1996, when he joined the maize sector, Pakah Samuel has highly impacted on the sector in the northern region. This led to his appointment as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Société Coopérative des Producteurs Maïs de Lagdo. He is also the Secretary General of PLANOPAC for the North region and Chairman of the Departmental Selection Committee for ACEFA Bénoué projects (Editor’s note: ACEFA is a Cameroon Government programme, under the supervision of MINADER and MINEPIA).
