The two parties met on 05th April 2023 in Bamenda in the North West region to sign a partnership agreement.
Wednesday 05th April 2023 marked the beginning of relations between Njindom Cooperative Credit Union Limited (NJICCUL) and the Platform of Promoters of Local Flour in Cameroon (PROFALCAM). The two institutions have signed a partnership agreement sealing their union.
The meeting, which took place at the NJICCUL microfinance headquarters in Bamenda, was attended by a strong delegation from both sides. They were led by George N. Mbanda (President) for PROFALCAM and by Tamanji Catherine (President) for NJICCUL.
The highlight of the meeting was the review of the partnership agreement. This review raised questions among microfinance staff. In particular with regard to the granting of loans and the repayment guarantees envisaged by the platform.
The Chairman of PROFALCAM immediately reassured his interlocutors by explaining the system put in place by his platform to ensure that everything would run smoothly. He reassured his partner that PROFALCAM is a guarantee between the members to whom the loans will be granted and the financial institution.
Once these clarifications had been made, minor amendments were made to the partnership agreement before moving on to the ‘ritual’ of signing. It was with broad smiles on their faces that the two Chairpersons initialled the protocol, confident that their new agreement is an open door to new opportunities.
