Teams from the zone made numerous field visits, after which they were able to draw up a list of producers meeting the conditions for financial support.
In all, some 30 producers in the local flour value chain in the Centre and South regions will benefit from financial support from PROFALCAM. These are the findings of field visits carried out by teams from the Centre/South zone. These 30 promoters fulfilled the necessary preconditions for selection to receive this support.
In concrete terms, the field visits established that their declared activities were in line with those actually carried out. Their declarations were also deemed to be consistent with reality. All these verifications were made possible thanks to the preliminary data collected by the teams in the field. As mentioned above, this financial support will be provided by PROFALCAM, but it will actually be a loan granted by one of the platform’s financial partners, People Finance (PEFi). It’s easy to see why it’s so important for promoters to be in good standing.
In addition to selecting the promoters eligible for this financial support, Mr. Meyong and his team supervised the distribution of 120,000 (one hundred and twenty thousand) improved cassava cuttings. The GIC LESSOMOLO de MBALMAYO distributed 50,000 (fifty thousand) cuttings to the GIC PLEAMAK, 30,000 (thirty thousand) cuttings to the GIC JEAMAK 2 and 40,000 (forty thousand) cuttings to the Mission Catholique de Makenene.
There were also opening of producers accounts in People Finance, filling of registration forms and notification of beneficiaries of their selection.
