The partnership agreement uniting them was signed on February 24th, 2023 by their respective Chairmen. People Finance S.A is now a key financial partner of PROFALCAM.
It was 3.30p.m when George MBANDA and Aggée DINAMOU each signed the partnership agreement between the two institutions, of which they presidents. The signing followed five hours of discussions and exchanges between delegations from both parties.
Indeed, the participants’ review of the memorandum of understanding raised a number of questions. Representatives of People Finance S.A (PeFi) wondered about the loan repayment guarantees on which PROFALCAM relies, and how PROFALCAM intends to manage the risks associated with potential disasters.
The team from the Platform of Promoters of Local Flour in Cameroon (PROFALCAM) had no difficulty in providing answers to these questions, thus sweeping aside any concerns that might have hindered the signing of this partnership.
The amendments made by the various parties were incorporated into the partnership agreement, sealing the relationship between PeFi and PROFALCAM. The meeting was also an opportunity for the parties to talk about their respective activities, and to look back on the fraternal relations that bound them long before this partnership.
The two Chairmen expressed their joy and excitement at the start of this new adventure. Aggée DINAMOU also promised that his establishment would fulfill all the commitments made under the agreement, in particular those relating to financing the activities of actors in the local flour value chain.
